Whew! We dodged another bullet! As you can tell, I am not a fan of storms. I know I am often unreasonable about this, but don't you think for a minute that I am giving up this phobia. I don't have many, so I think it's OK to keep this one on the list.
A huge Potentially Dangerous Storm (PDS=Pretty Damn Scary in my mind), passed through our tri-state area. High winds and dangerous weather directly affect the work I do, so this brings two forms of stress for me: stress that I may not live to see another day and stress that I may have to work long hours, answer lots of phone calls and be stuck in the same clothes for days.
It didn't help that our local television station weather man was saying things like "tornadic activity", "bow-echoes" and "run for your life" or that this line of banter began at 9 a.m. yesterday with the storms hitting around 3 p.m. We had 6 hours to worry, fret and bite all of our nails off.
Suffice to say that, thanks to the help of my e-mail buddies up north, I survived without a scratch and with lots more knitting done.
Sirens did sound. We were rushed to our designated areas and yes, I did take my purse and knitting along. No sense wasting the time and all of that nervous energy, right?
So, first and foremost, to my e-mail and Internet friends, thank you for talking me down off the ledge. I hope that my e-mail updates from Ragged Storm Central were helpful and not panic invoking. I hope that you are safe and dry.
Just a little photo of my progress on my current project. I am about 14 rows shy of being done and ready to wash. I-cord is finished. I also got a lot done on my "ribbed for her pleasure" scarf. I am certain to wrap the bag up tonight. I can't wait to see those fibers bind in the wash.

The colors on your bag look beautimous! I'm glad the spooky weather didn't get you.
I am excited about the colors. I think I may have banded the browns to close together, but I am finishing up in purples so maybe I can redeem it.
Spooky weather all gone. Thanks!
