Day 3: Does It Get Any Better Than This

I must have been a very, very good girl this year, because on Day 3 of my vacation, I got to steal away for the day with Jennifer and Needlefingers. I sorta butted my way into their big day and I am ever so grateful that they were so gracious as to allow me to tag along.

We began our day with lunch at Olive Garden. Our adorable (very young) green-eyed waiter knew just how to work a table of three "ladies", making us swoon and ever so appreciative for raspberry syrup, full glasses, warm breadsticks, humor and ogling.

I wasn't sure what was on our plate (note the pun) next, but when the girls mentioned a run to a local yarn shop, I wanted to play in their reindeer games, so off we went. I ended up with this gorgeous Plymouth yarn that I love so much that I started knitting it up last night. It may just be the same yarn that Shiny Little Distractions used to make her first scarf. Yummy.

After a well, roundabout trip to Starbucks complete with great conversation, tea purchases and peppermint mocha, we opted to visit Target and Joann's. Joann's moving sale proved fruitful, but tiring, so we half-heartedly dropped into Target. Yes, we were that tired.

Then I was on my way home. I had my fix. I had talked knitting, politics, families, coffee, me-gifts and any other subject pertinent to three hip-and-happenin' knitting girls.

Thanks ladies for a great day out. Let's do it again soon.

That's the very same yarn! Isn't it a pretty color combo? It's also big and fat, which is great for someone as impatient as I am. It sounds like you all had a wunnerful time in E'ville.

Have fun knitting!

When I first clicked over here, I thought you had a picture of a raw meatmall. Need to shine up these glasses.

On second glance, I realized it was pretty pink yarn. Glad you had a great day. I was worried you were going to get bored!

I want everyone to know that Ragged did not 'butt in' but was invited and Needlefingers and I were thrilled to see her! We had a wonderful day. :) We always discuss on the way home how we can somehow by sheer force of will move Ragged's town and our town closer together so we can visit more often.

She also brought us little bags of Xmas goodies, complete with some of her gorgeous handmade cards! Such a lovely day...

Oooooh, Cate, raw meatball? I opted to change the picture. Never fear, no boredom here. ; )
