Excuse me while I write this post on our brand-spanking new Dell Inspiron laptop. Can you read the pride? Can you sense the excitement?
Who needs Christmas when you have UPS!
In other news, did I tell you that I am on vacation for two weeks? Did I tell you that I have plans to sleep, knit, watch movies, type on our new computer and essentially veg away 16 days? Did I mention that I do not intend to put my contacts in or iron clothes unless absolutely necessary? Do you know that I am not planning on even dressing until 2 p.m. each day? Yep, that's the plan.
Last night I met up with my movie pal to see "The Family Stone". Did anyone know there was a sad twist? Don't mean to ruin it for you, but I was not happy that I didn't have ample warning, so this is your official warning: there is sadness in this movie that claims to be all comedy.
Afterward we went to dinner and to exchange gifts. I so love exchanging gifts with my friends. I love it. I love it. I gifted a scarf (surprise, surprise) and a few other goodies. I got the coolest sweater, just perfect for me, suited my tastes and fits! Who could ask for anything more.
Today was highlighted with a trip to purchase a router so that I could sit, just as I am now, in the living room, feet up, television in the background.
We hit the yarn store, Hobby Lobby and Target. And. . . we finally got to see "The Chronicles of Narnia". Very beautiful, very interesting, very imaginative, very cool. Everything I expected and more.
Now, we are at home, wireless router connected all by ourselves, knitting projects nearby and guess what: we are in the same room. Gotta love technology.

I'm so glad you're having a great vacation! And have a great new laptop. You sound so excited!
Well, I'm excited too. You know why? I found my missing Chronicles of Narnia book and it does begin with The Magician's Nephew. That's what threw me off when I saw the movie. (I'm planning on rereading it as soon as Christmas is over.)
That was me, if you hadn't figured it out already. I have no idea why my name didn't show up.
Glad your laptop came in just in time to enjoy it on your vacation. Have a great vacation.
