For the life of me. . .

I cannot put together a cohesive post these days. I blame it on lack of rest. I blame it on stress, but I really want to blame it on lack of meat.

Yes, it's been nearly a year since I gave up meat. It was smooth sailing initially and I kinda liked the challenge. I found all sorts of vegetarian and veggie dishes at my favorite restaurants. I even like soy burgers. I made it through Thanksgiving without turkey. I survived Christmas without ham. I even passed on the Little Smokies on New Year's Eve. However, for the past three weeks, I have decided that I miss it more than I miss new episodes of "Felicity". Yes, I miss meat.

So, lately I have been pondering my return to the Community of Carnivores. Yes, I soon may eat meat again. I am ashamed of myself, that I couldn't hold out longer. However, I fear that I must eat meat.

I knew that it was time to think long and hard about this whenever I dreamed about sausage. Get your mind out of the gutter, this was the Jimmy Dean variety. Wait, that sounded worse, well you know what I mean.

I think that March 1, I shall treat myself to meat. That will mark one year of my meatless existence. Don't hate me. Don't picket my house, but a girl has to do what a girl has to do, plus I hear that Hardee's has brought back the mushroom Swiss burger and that's more than I can take.
