I have been redeemed. My vacation has officially been productive. Whew! and in the eleventh hour!
This morning, we finally found our gumption. We finally got ourselves going. We finally, brush in hand, got a few things done around this place.
I started my morning with painting woodwork in our kitchen, followed by a failed attempt to assist Cynical in the installation of a light fixture. (Never fear, Dad saved the day.) Once the expert had arrived the project went quickly. We at Chez Ragged said, "Let there be light" and there was light.
Cynical targeted some other areas in need of paint and before the sun had set, we had completed nearly every project on our list. We even have a few little things we plan to tackle tomorrow. I guess we just work better under pressure.
Let's hope this momentum keeps going. Who knows, we could have this whole place remodeled by noon tomorrow. (Aaaaah, just wishing.)
I hope to find some time tomorrow to develop a plan for our reading group. I know I should have done that by now, but like I said, I do work better under pressure. I will keep you posted.
