It ain't over 'til it's over

It can't be Sunday. Tomorrow can't be Monday. Where did the weekend go? What happened to two glorious days away from work? How did it sneak by me? Someone stole a day from me and heads are going to roll if they don't return it immediately.

We were granted not one, but two gorgeous days this weekend. How often does that happen? Seems the sun only shines when I have to be in the office and the rain only pours whenever I have time to get outside and romp. However, the weather gods have smiled upon us and I am not asking any questions.

Today began with pancakes prepared by my beloved. I never doubt my love for this man. Who wouldn't love a guy that can make perfectly shaped, fluffy pancakes? No one can resist that sort of wooing, can you?

After piddling away the morning with knitting, laundry, chores and wasted television viewing, we headed for the Y for a good workout, a visit to the library and a stop by the grocery store. Exciting, eh? Well, that's life at Chez Ragged. Riveting. Excitement at ever turn.

The good news is that I completed my second bag, loosely based on the Marsupial Bag from Stitch N Bitch. For photos, visit the Completed Objects section. I have over three repeats completed on the Wavy scarf (from knitty.com) and I started on the Kittyville hat (also from Stitch N Bitch).

I decided to shake things up and used straight needles on Wavy. I resorted to a row counter as I had a hard time keeping up where I was along the pattern.

I decided to make the Kittyville hat out of Debbie Bliss Merino Aran. Yep, I splurged a bit. I also decided it was time to learn what all the fuss was about over these Addy needles, so I got a pair of 8s and that's what I am using.

I see a night of home-made tacos, knitting on Kittyville, Desperate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy in my future, followed by pre-work week anxiety and hopefully a good night's sleep. I told you it was exciting around here, didn't you believe me?

The photo at top is of Wavy in a yarn color called "papaya". The color alone let's you know how yummy it is. In the photo at bottom, you can spy my Debbie Bliss splurge and the start of Kittyville. You may also spy the Addy needles. Wish me luck.
