Today was all about family. I started my day by attending church with my parents. Cynical joined us for a leisurely lunch followed by some more quality family time on the patio at my folks' house.
We joined Cynical's family soon thereafter to watch his niece hunt eggs and to catch up with everyone.
Even though we had a sunny day. Even though we had a wonderful day with our families. . . I still miss waking up early on Easter morning to find a basket full of chocolate and goodies. I miss dyeing eggs. I even miss the plastic grass in the bottom of the pastel baskets.
Above is a photo of some blossoms taken in the backyard at my parents' house. Spring has definitely sprung in our part of the world.

Me, too.
I got a mondo basket every year until Baby Girl came along. Then my folks graduated to spoilin' the grands instead...I'm still a little jealous.
