Should I be ashamed. . .

. . . that I know all of the words to the theme song for "Green Acres"? I hope not because I do.

"New York is where I'd rather stay. . . I get allergic smelling hay. I just adore a penthouse view. Darlin' I love you, but give me Park Avenue."

(Ever have a song playing over and over again in your head. Unfortunately for me, thanks to an episode of "Will and Grace" that we just watched, it's this classic television theme song sung by whichever Gabor sister was in "Green Acres". What's worse is that I once belted out this song on the radio to win tickets to some event. Oh, and it gets worse: I can't even remember which event it was or if I ever even went. So, that means I sang it for the heck of it and now I am actually sharing this with you. I obviously have no pride whatsoever.)

I am feeling much better today NO accidents...

I would much rather have Green Acres in my head than... "Toot! Toot! Chuga! Chuga! Big Red Car We'll travel near and we'll travel far..." Those darn Wiggles... Really they MUST be stopped!

It's so funny that you mentioned the Green Acres song! D was just telling the girls about that show a few days back, and started to sing a few of the lines of the song. He couldn't remember any more of it, so I proceeded to sing the entire thing, complete with the accents. They thought I was nuts, but I LOVE it! MWAHAAAAHAAAAA!!!

My niece told me once as I was singing out the words to an old TV song (anybody remember Captain Kangaroo?) that her mom and I can be triggered into song by just about any topic. She actually said it was weird! Imagine that!

P.S. Loved Petticoat Junction, too. "There's Uncle Joe, he's a movin' kinda slow, at the Junction...Petticoat Junction."

At least you know the words...Husband sings constantly and knows none of the lyrics...to anything! So he makes them up...do you know you can put the word "thigh" into any song ever written!
I'm with Brando on the Wiggles thing! Ours is the Captian Feather Sword song with the ducks and chickens...appropriate, but annoying!
