I do have a few positive things to share, so maybe I can put a new spin on this whole "we have to move and we have to move now" thing:
1. Finished the yoga mat bag for my mom. Photos are in the gallery at right under Finished Objects. I was pleased with most of it, but not happy with the strap. I may have to make one for me! (And if we move into a new place, maybe I will have a closet to hang it in.)
2. I was involved in a Derby pot at work and my horse took second, so my $2 bet grew into $10. That's $10 closer to moving costs, right? (Or actually, that's $8 closer, given my $2 initial bet. They don't call me 'Rithmatic Ragged for nothing.)
3. Finished my second sock, but so very unhappy with the finishing. My dear Yarn Shoppe Lady agreed to save me from horrible Kitchner stitching. The new place may have hard wood floors and I can slide across them in my pretty green socks.
4. I am getting keyless entry installed in my little car this week thanks to my long suffering Cynical. It's kind of an early birthday present. Now I won't have to fumble around unlocking it as I run from our neighbors.
5. At least now I don't have to pour over paint samples for the bathroom. I mean, who cares, right? We are selling it, so we'll just go neutral and call it a day.
6. Home ownership has to get better, right?
