After
Earlier this morning Cynical made the comment that he was ready for things to be "back to normal around here." I giggled, because I am certain that life at Chez Ragged has been anything but "normal" and I have never been certain that "normal" is anything that I have ever really aspired to be.
I will say that even though it's anything but "normal" around here, things are back to their usual spot and everyone is doing the wave as a result. Well, we would be doing the wave if only we weren't worn out and a little sore from all of the lifting.
We were two very nervous homeowners as we started moving furniture back into our living room and onto our new shiney and bright new floors. However, some felt pads and a little obsessive-compulsive planning and it went very smoothly. Lucky for Cynical I am a bit of a Wonder Woman when it comes to lifting and moving stuff. It's true, I don't know my own strength. It's still pretty comical watching my very tall Cynical moving large furniture with his short little Ragged.

I must admit that I am pleased to be less crammed and inconvenienced. And our floors are so very gorgeous. Slip, slide and away. . . .
In other news, our little fig tree is already off to a bad start. I left the instructions in the back pocket of my pants and then I washed said pants. Poor little fig tree.

THE FLOORS LOOK GREAT! You can go online and find new fig directions
That was me not sure how I got another name. Brando
Wow! That is beautiful! Enjoy your "new" home! Now, listen, all the fig prayers in the world won't help if the fig's human doesn't do her part! ;-)
Oh wow, those floors really do look magnificant!! Looks like your kitty loves the new floors as much as you do.
