Fall on me

I have decided that I am through with summer. I am done with short sleeves. I am tired of the heat. I don't even want to wear sandals any more. It's over for me, this love affair with summer, I have a new fascination: the coming of fall.

I began my official boycott of summer today when I decided to wear a long-sleeved shirt to work. It was a half-hearted effort because I am also wearing sandals, but it's an effort none-the-less.

Nothing to share here, so I haven't really been inspired to blog for a few days. We've been busy, but just not with anything really worth sharing, unless you are interested in knitting projects stopped midstream, grass growing uncontrollably with no cutting in sight, an alley cat that has taken up residence on our front porch who we have named appropriately Sally Cat, my continued consideration of Crest White Strips or the fact that I have actually written down the season premier dates and times in my calendar.

Come on fall. I can't stand the thought of another pedicure, short sleeves or lawn chairs for one more minute.

I changed my avtar and was thinking exactly the same thing....I wanted to put fall stuff on and thought it was too soon. I am ready for fall.....I want to knit a neato bulky turtleneck like sweater in off white or cream. I have no clothes or shoes for that matter.

I'm with you. I am so done with summer. We feel we have kind of been "robbed" of summer this year since it has been so darn hot. Just 34 more days until fall!!!

Hey Ragged, I love your Avatar. Welcome fall!

We can tell it's just around the corner here as we sit on the porch. The gourdvines are starting to turn brown on two of the plants, but amazingly the leaves and blossoms are still fully green at the top so there must be a little life left there! The rest of the plants are still in full swing.

Hub and I are wondering how long the hummingbirds will continue to stay and entertain us. We're not sure if they migrate (I need to look that up!). They, and the gourds, are what we will miss about summer.

It must have hit us all at the same time...I'm waiting for it too. Now that school's up and going again, it's close enough to feel it *almost*.

I DID get my package and I guess my e-mail is busted again. I blogged it today. There's a cute photos of my Boy and the red bowl.

Thank you SO much.
