I swear that yesterday I smelled fall approaching. I walked outside briefly and noticed how sticky the air felt and as I took a deep breath, I could, for a moment, sense the sweet scent of fall. I could smell the leaves beginning to turn and the field beginning to be plowed back under after a fruitful summer. Just for a moment.

Oh, ragged. I noticed it here last night, as well. The air was cool, just short of having that "nip" to it. My, it felt good! I'm ready for a change of season!
So funny. I was driving on the fwy on my way to my weekly Wednesday walk at Stanford and thought: "it almost feels like fall." Now, personally, I'm not quite ready for fall to happen, the summer just went by waay to fast and I'm shocked that it's the end of August, but fall certainly is in the air.
It's definitely on the way. My Aunt Lou said yesterday that she really dreads fall...She is elderly and thin and doesn't turn the air conditioner on even on the warmest days. She is a one season person. That's rough.
