Soon, very soon, our weekends are going to start getting very, very busy. I took advantage of this unusually calm couple of days to get a lot done around the house and to catch up on some things that I had long been writing and rewriting on my list of things I either needed to do or wanted to tackle.
Friday night was date night for the residents at Chez Ragged. We met up for dinner and then to see "Barefoot in the Park". We hold season tickets to the local theater, so I am guaranteed that at least six times this year I will have a date with my beloved.
The play ran late and soon we were home and tucked into our bed. On Saturday I got up early and tackled that infamous obsessive-compulsive "to-do" list. House was cleaned from top to bottom, the closet floor was once again visible and soon my list had shrunk, giving me some breathing room and time to do some shopping with my mother. New shoes and a shirt, a trip to the video store, a peach tea and a trunk full of bottled water later, I returned home to spend the afternoon with my beloved.
I wasted away the afternoon and evening watching "Friends with Money" and "The Sentinel". This luxury was enhanced by the fact that we watched both all piled up in our king-sized bed. How decadent is laying all snuggled in your bed watching movies?
Today has been much of the same, lingering over coffee, watching yet another movie and knocking out some yard work.
And sadly, the weekend is over. Back to the frantic pace that seems to be our week.

Ragged, I just got my recliner out of storage to take it with me to NM. The dogs and I have been in heaven, snuggling in our big over-stuffed, comfy chair. We haven't had a comfortable chair for over 6 months, and I didn't think it would be a big deal. IT IS!!! So I understand snuggling in cozy furniture, whatever it is.
