Just say no

I have a problem, it's a big problem. Actually it's a problem for me, but typically not those around me, so does it still qualify as "big" if it really only affects one person?

You see, I cannot say "no". I can't. It's not in my vocabulary. It's not in my vernacular. I can't do it.

Sometimes that's a good thing, "Sure, I can give you a ride home" or "Oh, I am up for that, what time do we leave?"

It's not so good when searching for yarn for a sweater pattern you have finally landed on and you end up talked into something that even on the ride home you are starting to regret. But, you wind part of it anyway, even cast on and do a few rows, cursing the yarn and your inability to say "no". Now, you are left contemplating whether or not you need a cotton cornflower blue mini-afghan.

Where is Nancy Reagan when I need her?

The snapshot is of my favorite sunglasses. I may wear them in shame when I burn the yarn in the back yard.

It looks like the only thing you can say NO to is yourself about telling others NO. Yes I am normally that confusing. Maybe you and I should get together and I will show you how to become a little more self centered. Just kiddin. Keep on being the great person you are.

I'm the same way. The worst thing I did was let my Hub and the saleslady at the furniture talk me into the UGLIEST recliner in the history of lounging! I hate two against one. I should have held out!

I get that way when buying shoes. I feel like if the salesperson went thru all the trouble of helping me and having to always work at close proxmity to feet, then I feel bad not buying a pair that I tried on. That's why I shop at pick-you-own-pair discount shops now.

Your purse looks cute, too.
