I got a little ahead of the game with the Project Spectrum colors for April/May by knitting Cynical a pair of green house socks.
Green Ribbed Socks for my Beloved
Pattern: The Knitter's Handy Book of Patterns: Basic Designs in Multiple Sizes & Gauges By Ann Budd (Cast-on 56 stitches)
Yarn: Cascade 220 Superwash Color 867 (100 percent Superwash Wool)
Needles: Size 3 Addis
Project Complete: April 6, 2007
Edited to add: This is my first time at making socks out of anything other than designated sock yarn. Being as this was a much heavier yarn, they were done in no time. I am now considering some other skeins in my stash that might be good for this sort of thing. . . and perhaps gifts. Not necessarily something he can wear with shoes, but wonderful for keeping his feet warm throughout this crazy spring weather.
