Instead, I knit myself up this pair. These socks are out of Regia Canyon Color in a 75 percent wool mix. I really, really like the way they knitted up.

(named at the gentle urging of Phin)
I finished these simple socks up some time ago, but just never could seem to find the time to photograph and post them. Every time I stage sock photographs I remember when I was a kid and my dad would put his socks on his hands and make them talk. He'd also make them bite us. Strange memory to associate with handknit socks, but for some reason I catch myself wanting to knit him socks with proper eyes and a little grin.Instead, I knit myself up this pair. There is really something to be said for stockinette socks. The deserve more notice! The Jaywalkin' Monkeys get all the attention.
