An actual post. . . with words

I have been posting, just not including much text. For some of you that may be a blessing, while others of you (like maybe one of you) might be wondering what we've been up to. And my answer, absolutely nothing! We have been embarrassingly lazy and content.

Since our return from Asheville, we have been battling the heat, talking about the heat, cursing the heat. I have been knitting. I have been sleeping. I have been eating too much ice cream. I have been watching an inordinate amount of television. I have been drinking gallons upon gallons of sweet tea.

And then there have been such exciting moments such as when I (accidentally) dowsed myself with with Febreeze Air Effects in the bathroom at work. Topped only by the excitement we had over eating our one (yes one) tomato that we managed to pluck before it was snatched by squirrels. Words cannot describe our delight.

On Monday our spirits were lifted as Needlefingers, Kissed Knitter and I headed to the yarn shoppe sale while Pilot and Cynical did boy stuff*. It was the first meeting of my fellow bloggers, knitters and friends. (*I think boy stuff involves potty humor, Wal-Mart shopping and lots of back slapping.)

There you have it: how we have spent the last 14 days.

PS: Thanks for your kind comments about Rusted Root. If only I felt comfortable enough to wear it. I look much like a 30+ year old stuffed into a prom dress whenever I attempt to try it on. Color me disappointed.

Glad to have you back! I do love the pictures, but actual words are nice too.

Yeah, I'm with you on "boy stuff." Around here it's potty humor & great discussions about live stock.

mmmm...sweet tea...i'd like to get a gallon of that! There is absolutely no, zero, zilch place to get good/any sweet tea here. Our weather has been weird, super hot for a few days then 2 days of cool then super hot and humid (california humid that is) the next few. We're currently on the hot and humid cycle, plus there's a huge fire about 30 miles away and our sky is not pretty.
I've been throughly enjoying your photos but very happy to read about the happenings at Chez Ragged!
