I have tried to purchase as many handmade gifts as practical this year. Knowing that some on my shopping list just (in the words of Hall and Oates) can't go for that, I did some standard retail shopping as well.
However, in an attempt to pull you into my realm of handmade gift love, I have done a little shopping for you. (Because I love you, really love you and want to make your holiday a little less stressful; afterall, someone ought to get some enjoyment out of it.)
Here goes:
For the knitter:
Vegetable Stitch Markers: it's your own little reminder for your favorite knitter to eat his/her vegetables. It's like having a dietician on your needles.
For the person that never writes you back:
I bet you get a thank you note whenever you ship a box of these via the US Postal Service. (Love, Love, Love these.)
For your beloved:
Nothing says I love you like creepy people holding hands. I actually have a few of Blackapple's prints bound for my future creative space. I am so drawn to her work, I guess it taps into my dark side, plus those prints rock.)
For the college student:
Remember in college, when you put all of those buttons on the pocket of your backpack? Way back when you only wore it over one shoulder, tempting the chiropractic gods? Well, wouldn't these have been cool?
For your introspective, deep friend:
You know, the girl that journals daily, recording all of that introspection. This will surely make her day.
For the hip and happenin' co-worker:
You don't want to spend a lot, but you wanna give her a hip gift. This might be it.
For your uncle with a drinking problem:
He deserves only the very best, right? Maybe a flask of his own. It's much more subtle than going to his car and taking a swig. (Honestly, this one disturbs me.)
For your boss, he drinks coffee, right?:
And it might as well be out of something that doesn't have the company logo on it. (And when you steal it, at least it will be a cool one to add to your collection)
For your brother that always beat you at board games (and did that annoying victory dance):
Really, I just included this because it's cool.
For your folks:
Because they need a place to hide your inheritance. (And because these are totally cool!)
Now, go out there and buy handmade!

Those blackapple prints do rock. They remind me of something from my childhood but weirder and that's hard to do.
Oh and the Hall and Oates reference totally got them stuck in my head. Thanks. I almost bought one of their cd's at the gas station. Whoa here she comes, watch out boys she'll chew you up.Whoa here she comes, she's a man eater.
I loved the Scrabble Game journal...but they're all gone already. It's just as well. I don't write much on paper anymore so it would just lay there looking great but neglected.
i added most of these to my etsy favorites!
