It's official: we're skipping the holidays

Let's see if I can type this without saying anything I will later regret.

(Pause for a deep yoga breath.)

It's official. We are not (at this point) celebrating the holidays. No wrapping of presents. No hauling ourselves all over a three county radius. No taking phone call after phone call from irritated, manipulating family members. No more. Christmas is over before it began.

Good idea! The holidays are just too much. I'm definitly cutting down this year and saying no more.

I wouldn't say Christmas is over... It just you are going to spend it at home without "Certain" family members.

*Gasp* Egad! You... you...your canceling Christmas!

I've always heard that phrase but you are the first I've known to actually do it.

And more power to you! We should all do that when it gets to be too much, because that is just not what it is all about.
