I still am in awe that Thanksgiving is only a few days away. Tonight we'll be baking pies and packing our bags, as tomorrow evening we'll hit the road bound for Cynical's folks. And the festivities begin.
Last night Cynical was experiencing a sense of dread related to the holidays and the following conversation ensued:
Cynical: I really dread this.
Ragged: You are going to have to suck it up like a Pilgrim and do it.
I'm not sure why I chose to phrase it quite like that, but for some reason Cynical understood completely. I can't decide which is worse: my pitiful attempt at motivating him or the fact that it worked.
Leaves in the front yard. It's time for a new camera.

Happy Thanksgiving to you both!
I think a new camera would make the experience so much better! You could escape in the photography instead of deal with the people.
Being able to laugh together probably aleviates some of the tension. "Suck it up like a pilgrim" is so strangely humorous, I'll be waiting all day tomorrow for an opportunity to say it. I hope I hear someone grumbling.
