Christmas has left the building. I too couldn't stand it. . . . boxes, pine needles, tissue paper. . . it was all closing in.
We spent the better part of our day wrapping ornaments in tissue paper, untangling lights from the tree and hauling box after box to the basement. Oh. . . and. . . sweeping up, sucking up and stepping on pine needles.
Christmas, I used to love you, but it's all over now.

i still have my button tree out but every single other sign of christmas has left the building, too. on the 26th, all was packed away.
