Stash knitting

Word has it that there will be snow showers tonight. . . I might get my wish afterall: a cold, dark January. While I've been waiting for impending snow, I thought I'd share a few recently finished projects. Nothing very complicated, just a few attempts at using up some of my yarn stash. Both projects used patterns printed in "101 Designer One Skein Wonders", a great little book that aids those of us having a tad bit of guilt over the size and expanse of our stash.

Above is a quick knit hat which consumed one stray skein of Noro leftover from a Booga bag I made at the start of my knitting "career".

The bag below will be a gift for my dear niece, Princess S. A pretty pink cabled purse to call her own. I used up a skein of Cascade on this one and it felted so very well.

Details, if you want them, are in the Finished Objects section.

the ironic enclosure card...I gotta use it on something, and the other cards, I'm not sure, I think I like the lining of the envelopes first best, and the quotes second : .)
