That wasn't very phone friendly of me

I just got online and canceled our call-waiting feature on our telephone service.

Is that a contradiction to my earlier post about trying to make peace with the phone and talk to family/friends more?

nope. not a contradiction. see, if you're on the phone w/ someone, then you'll continue w/ that conversation instead of the "can you hold on a sec i have another call".

I've never been a fan of call waiting.

hey, I think its a great idea. it's all about the "quality" time with the person you're currently speaking to, right?! oh, and courtesy. if its important enough, the other person will call back : .)

I won't say that I'm not a fan of call waiting...I hate it!!! how's that?!

I agree with madretz and phin. I picked up the phone to cancel my Call waiting/Caller I.D. package today and changed my mind and promptly hung up. I keep waivering. I could care less about call waiting, but I LOVE Caller I.D. I hate the phone too and don't want to answer it for sales calls, etc. Plus with three teenage boys in the house who get tons of calls...They will only pick up the phone now if they KNOW it's for them. If they don't pick up now, they'd never answer it wiithout knowing...that nasty job would be mine.

Oh, call waiting is rude, unless you live with person who sits on the phone night and day and it's your only hope of ever getting a call for you through.
