Listen carefully to the lyrics. Just in the event you didn't know, Dolly Parton wrote this song and I think it's absolutely brilliant, humbling and personal. I bought Mindy Smith's album just before we left for a nine-day trip to an island in Canada several years ago. I listened to "Jolene" over and over and over again.

I saw this video years ago & couldn't get it out of my head. I've never found the CD and with my snail-esque dial-up couldn't get it to download.
I adore this song!!
I had heard Dolly's version years ago, but hadn't heard Mindy Smith's. Dolly is a gifted storyteller. The video is painful to watch.
