I wasn't at work yesterday. I have a good excuse: meaning my head was close to exploding. I feel certain they didn't want to have to hire additional janitorial staff, should said explosion occur, so I spent the day on the couch at my house where I am the entire janitorial staff.
It seems my sinuses were yet again giving me fits, preventing me from sleeping, preventing me from walking, keeping me from leaning, stopping me from opening my eyes. It hurt and it hurt bad.
I'm back today, but with a nagging headache. I'll tough it out, however, as being home is hard work. There's nothing on television and after flipping for about 2 hours, my thumb was sore. Then I had to keep up with all of the comings and goings of our neighbors, why aren't they at work? Oh, we have nothing to eat, so I had potato soup TWICE with my ginger ale.
And I suspect I interupted the typical household daily routine, interfering with their television and napping breaks. They (meaning Cynical and the cats) all kept giving me looks that said, "We generally watch JAG now and swarm around Cynical while he eats. . . you've really screwed things up positioning yourself on the couch like that."
When you're home during odd hours, it's like entering a strange new world with new rhythms and schedules.

We were home today. I feel like my head is about to explode also. This is the 3rd day of fever and headache 2nd day of congestion and cough. I suspect severe sinuse infection. Hope you are feeling better. I think we are cancelling our trip south this weekend. No need to be a typhoid Ramblin.
so, I need to know...which was worse, the sinus pain or the channel flipping pain?
so sorry that you're under the weather. I so get the sinus thing. ick! hope you feel fine soon!!!
My sister swears by the "Neti Pot," which she got from Amazon. She's had one sinus infection after another this year so she was willing to try anything.
I, on the other hand, have also had my share, and can't get the courage up to try it.
But she says she's a walking ad for Neti Pots. She loves hers, so I may try it...someday.
My sister just gmailed me and I told her I was in the middle of telling you about the Neti Pot.
My sister said: tell her 1/4 tsp of non-iodized salt is all you need and it should be body temp. not cold or you feel like your drowning. i don't care for the blue one walmart carries. mine is the one that looks like aladdins lamp and works more easily.
