Not much "big" knitting going on around here, but a few small projects were completed. I'm on a bit of a dishcloth tangent lately. There is a real sense of reward to make something useful and quick. I'm knitting most of these as gifts, some to thank friends for acts of kindness, some to celebrate birthdays, some just because. I'll wrap them up with handmade soaps or other goodies. Details are at right.
And I wrapped up my Embossed Leaves socks a bit ago; just now getting a chance to share a photograph.
At the Fiber Event, Jenny from the Blog and I got a lesson in crocheting from our resident fiber-expert Needlefingers. What resulted was a big granny square, not quite the largest in the world as I had hoped, but big enough for its intended purpose. Our cat, Cooper, likes to sit on things, often our folded laundry, our mail, towels, the newspaper. I made this granny square to distract him and perhaps be a new "resting" spot for him. I am most pleased with the square because it reminds me of the crocheting both of my grandmothers did when I was young.

That granny square turned out so pretty! We'll definitely have to discuss more crochet stitches on vacation, which is less than two weeks away. Eek!
I think that washcloths with nice soaps are such a lovely gift. I'm in loooove with soaps. I really love the colors in the Elvish Leaves cloth.

Lawsie mercy those wash cloths are wonderful. The patterns are amazing, especially the dragonfly.
I am so behind on my blog reading! I am glad surfed back this far--because I love that dishcloth on the top--I have to know more about it. Seriously. What is that yarn? I queued the dragonfly one the other day when I saw it on your Ravelry in my "Friend Activity".
