Step by step

One more step down. Last night an inspector combed our house from top to bottom while we sat at the park with our four cats piled up in carriers in the back seat. I can't complain, as I was released from cat duty in lieu of a meeting, leaving Cynical there to listen to their unhappy mewing. I think it went well, or at least that's what our realtor seems to think.

It's an odd feeling to think someone is at your house without you, opening your doors, running your faucets, peeking into your crawl space. I was a little creeped out by it.

There's a lot to selling and buying a house. But it's all worth it. Here's hoping the next time we load up the cats, it's to bring them to the new house. I know they hope so too.

Above you see a shot of our master bedroom. Still loving the floors, but I suspect we'll never wear shoes in the house again.

Hi, just searching for others in the same situation as us. It is indeed really creepy to have the inspection done. The buyers of our house were there for the whole thing (we kept driving by to see if it was over yet). I could tell you everything that was moved in the house. The worse part was when I realized they took all my clothes off of one rack in the closet, and didn't hang them back up, just left them on the floor. Congrats on making it this far though:-)

soooo cool!!! japanese style where you take off your shoes b/4 coming into the house. I do it that way too!!! and I have no qualms making sure everyone that visits removes their shoes also!

"shoes please!"

I'll be by soon, with my Ragged made socks so I can do that Tom Cruise Risky Business slide thingy across your shiny floors!!!
