Well, we made it. We survived not one, but two family dinners. Enough said about that. Let's just say the key is hanging out with the kids, you can't go wrong when you hang out with the kids at any function.
Managed to brave Black Friday. Didn't have to stand next to any tech geek trying to talk me into an Xbox as the line moved slowly toward the front doors of Best Buy. Didn't have to squeeze my way to the music department. Even managed to get everything I was after and a few things extra in my sack of Christmas goodies.
Considering driving out to pick up the tree today. It's beginning (already) to look a lot like Christmas.

It's good hear that you survived both TG and Black Friday. I think it was very smart of you to hang out with the kids, sounds like a perfect way to distract you from all the other family grievances.
I think you should pick up your tree today! It's your 1st Christmas in your new home, you need to celebrate it for as long as you can!
