I got some great yarn. I got a great package of goodies in the mail. I have even made progress on knitting Christmas gifts, but I got nothing to show for it because there isn't enough daylight to take any decent photographs.
However, I can tell you about our wonderful, relaxing weekend with some friends from afar. That being said, I don't have any photographic proof of that either. Needlefingers and Pilot made the trek, in the rain to see us last weekend and we were ever so grateful for their company. As promised, we spent most of the weekend (in the words of my sister-in-law) hanging out. And even though there was no real agenda, it passed all too quickly, as we chatted, politicized, knitted, played Trivial Pursuit, cooked, dashed out for icecream, and all tried to stay warm and dry. (The weekend was so coooold and wet. The sun didn't show its face until Sunday and then we had to threaten a move south.) Only wishing we had more time and they lived closer.
Needlefingers brought me the most delightful present. I am still in awe of her generosity and forethought: Wollmeise! Enough said for now, you need to see it to truly appreciate it. Patience, grasshopper, patience.
In other news: it's cooooold. I spent most of my time putting on yet another pair of socks, waffling between which blanket is the warmest and hoping a cat will come sit with me so I can steal his warmth.
