Saturday. . . Saturday (think Elton John)

Our day began very early and ended very late. Cynical and I took my folks to the airport today. I felt kinda like a parent sending their kids off to camp. I reminded them to be kind to each other and not wander off with strangers.

They are destined for Ireland, a lifelong dream of my moms, a lesser wish of my dad's. By now they are well into their seven hour flight from Chicago to Dublin. Pray that my dad is able to curb his smoking habit and not go bullistic on the other passengers. Please pray my mom doesn't try to fake Irish heritage.

We introduced my parents to Moe's on the way there. After we dropped them off and visited a bit; Cynical and I went shopping. Apprently, my beloved has adapted quite easily to our new consumerist lifestyle, as he came home with a new wardrobe.

I, on the other hand, did pick up some new lounge pants (for those of you that know me well, be grateful, as my old ones were wearing thin and nearing the embarrassing stage; no more fear of seeing more of Ragged than you intended), some shirts for work (which makes me sound like I work at a gas station: work shirts), a new toothbrush (extra soft, not easy to find) and a few other odds and ends (including some new unmentionables, a bracelet and contact solution. . . hold onto your seats, this blog is full of excitement. Where else can you read about tooth brush and contact solution purchases.) I also did manage to squeeze in a yarn stop, where I got some Cascade Eco Wool planned for a sweater, and a little Malabrigo for some Christmas gift projects.

My folks have a slip of paper in their bag that details the amount and weight of the yarn I am expecting them to bring back. Let's see how well they follow instructions.

I'm off to bed soon, spending money exhausts me; earning it also wears me out.
