Whew. . . that was a weekend

Um, I think we just had a weekend, but it flew by so quickly I barely remember it.

On Friday my beloved and I celebrated 12 years of bliss (or something similar) with dinner at a riverside restaurant and the purchase of new bedding. Nothing brings a couple together like shams.

Saturday marked the long-awaited birthday celebration with my friend of now nearly 30 years. We marked her 39th with a pedicure, lunch and a little shopping. That afternoon we made two trips to the storage facility and about 389 trips down the stairs to cram all of it into our basement storage area. My adrenaline was pumping, so I managed to get quite a bit put away, exiled to "yard sale" land or simply hidden from sight.

Today I got up early enough, despite tired muscles and sore calves, to take a walk before painting out front step and the screened porch. I am very proud of myself, although I have come to the conclusion that OCD and paint don't mix.

Cynical convinced me to put down the brush and join him in seeing "The Dark Knight", so I stashed my diet drink in my purse and we headed out. I'm so cheap. And hence two more boxes have been emptied out. I don't want Batman coming to talk to me about my lack of unpacking.

Managed to set up a little DVD station in my studio space. I have big ideas of watching my DVD collection while working on projects. A little background noise, if you will. And the box I got last weekend, makes a perfect spot for VHS/DVD storage. Kinda a boring shot, but I had to share. Can a tv get any smaller? It once lived in Cynical's office, but he donated it to the cause.

I like the little boxes. I wish I had a small nook all to myself here.

Alas... the children have taken over.

Wonder if there is any room for me in the hen house?
