Wishing and hoping

Alas, despite our cries of "Why me?" and my pouting over the missed trip, we think the leak has been conquered.

Please note that the central theme here is "think". We aren't sure. Our fix-it guys came, examined the situation, did some work around our chimney and short of promising their first born felt they have the source of the leak sealed, for now. There's a storm coming tonight, so we are supposed to be mindful of the water, which won't be hard if it's dripping into the middle of our living room. Fingers crossed. Hope are high.

If this is indeed the fix, we will next deal with the ceiling. Ugh. Ugh. Double Ugh. That's the part that scares me. What lies beneath?
