How to cheer up: boucle' style

So, what's a girl do to cheer herself in preparation for a stressful holiday season?

No, she doesn't drink multiple margaritas and dance on top of the dryer.

No, she doesn't go out and buy a new outfit that makes her look 25 pounds lighter.

No, she didn't partake in multiple flavored coffee drinks. Instead. . .

She knits herself a very nice boucle' scarf using yarn she spent too much money on and made while she should have been doing laundry or making something for someone else. (But she looks so marvelous wearing it!)

Recipe for denial!

(Oh, and great friends make you a cupcake with a turkey on top!)

Ooh, that's a purdy scarf! Try to have a happy T-day. Just make yourself something else, all the while repeating the mantra, "This is for ME...SUCKAHS!!"

Oh my, the holidays are getting to me...

Ooooh, that's a good idea. I am toying with hitting the yarn shop this afternoon in an effort to stock up on "me projects". It's so good to be self-centered!

Hitting the yarn shop is always a good idea.
