The great thing about staying at home is that you get to check out what's in the pantry about every half hour. The bad news is that this time of year we have lots of sweets and other sundries to tempt us and I have absolutely no will power. None I tell you!
Please someone, remove the macaroons from our house. We (meaning me and my friend I) cannot resist them. Help us. Don't just hide them, take them, far, far away where we can't find them, reach them or sniff them out. Do this, I ask, do this and save us from certain stomach aches and added pounds.
In other news: In an attempt to learn a few new stitches, I actually made a cell phone cozy and change purse. Quit giggling. Quit it. I mean it. I learned two different versions of knitting increases and it was an instant gratification project. Quit giggling.
Ornament exchange tonight. I swore I wasn't going to go, it meant socializing with people from work and I had sworn off work until January 3, but what the heck. However, just a little note, if you are wondering if the event is kid-friendly, it probably isn't, so please spare us. All of us, including your kids.

At work we have fudge (snicker, butter pecan & penut butter) A brick of milk chocolate about the size of a sheet of paper 1/2 inch thick, assorted chocolates from Harry & David and baclava. Even at work I don't escape the temptation of goodies.
Gee thanks, guys. Now I am even more tempted. I am gonna have to walk around the entire perimeter of the city to walk this stuff off. Is it natural to have Gingerbread cookies for breakfast?
