It's true. It's finally happening. It's time.
I am going to sit down this evening and develop a reading timeline and outline for our Reading Ragged group. Invitations to the site have been issued to each of you that have requested them. If you haven't accepted and signed-on, I invite you to go ahead. You have been listed also in the links section as well. Let's get this party started!
Before I begin developing this timeline, I am hoping for some input from the "club" members.
For instance:
1. At what rate do you want to read? (It appears that this should go quickly, but I don't want to rush us in any way, but I don't want to bore you speed readers either.)
2. Any idea what format you'd like to take?
For instance:
-Do we each want to take a section and lead an online discussion on it?
-Do we want to find a readers' guide (which I haven't been able to find)?
-How about setting a day of the week for everyone to post their thoughts/insights and ponderings about that assigned reading?
-Do we want to use a list of questions or be less formal with just general discussion?
-CS Lewis is known for Biblical and religious metaphors/analogies, do we want to pinpoint those and explore those?
3. Has anyone found a reading guide?
I want to apologize for dragging my feet on this. I had really planned to develop this over my vacation, but time got away from me. I had also intended on taking time my first week of work, but didn't realize how much I had waiting for me on my desk and how much I would end up taking home with me. Then, well, last week flew by. Some of you have probably read the book seven or eight times by now.
Enough with the excuses. I am ready to dig in. Are you?

Never fear. I just now checked my ragged address, so your invite should be there shortly. Sorry it took me so long!
http://www.readinggroupguides.com/ - they have 1700 guides for books....You might want to check it out. I wish I could join you guys, it would be so much fun.
I'll be honest. I've never belonged to a reading group before so I'm totally in the dark on everything.
I've never done an organized reading group either. I'll be fine with whatever format is chosen. It might be easiest to have some questions for each segment to throw out as talking points. I've got a feeling with this group it will evolve into whatever we need it to be.
