I can be a very patient girl. I don't often mind waiting in line at the video store. I don't even worry about layovers at airports. I try to think of those interuptions as opportunities to people watch, browse magazine covers or maybe just daydream.
I am even pretty calm when it comes to home-improvement projects, taking each project step by step. I am hopeful I can do this in my knitting as well.
I can make it through the most boring of meetings, survive the most dry of presentations and sit quietly through the worst performances.
There is one area, however, that does test my patience: the postal service. It's not their fault, it's purely on my shoulders, but whenever I know I have goodies coming in the mail I am antsy with anticipation. I am giddy with excitement. I am overcome with the waiting.
It was bad enough when I learned that Jenny from the Blog was sending me an extra special package, but when I found out that my brother's talented girlfriend had crafted me a circular needle holder and put it in the mail too, I could not contain myself. What did I do to deserve two pieces of good mail in one week? I'm not worthy, I tell you. I am not worthy.
Now the waiting begins. Agony. Agony.

I got good mail, I got good mail!!!!! ;) Muchas thankas!
Love the word cloud!
I know what you mean about anticipation with the mail. I ordered some scrapbooking things from JoAnn.com on Jan.16. I started watching my porch about three days later, a week went by, then two weeks. Customer service wouldn't e-mail me back. It finally came about a week into February by snail mail...all smushed to smithereens.
Last time for JoAnn. They need to take lessons from Amazon.
