You know the day promises big things whenever you awake to sunshine and cinnamon rolls. These two omens alone guarantee good things.
On Sundays we hustle to get ready for the week. We generally make a grocery run, rush around to get out clothes ready for the week and attempt to knock out any chores we have procrastinated. However, there is one bright shining moment in the day for me.
The best thing about Sundays for me is my morning shower. Please understand that I do shower each morning before rushing off to work, so don't start with the cleanliness jokes or stabs at Kentuckians.
The difference is that on Sundays I have a chance to indulge myself. I break open the exfoliating sugar scrub, use the good shower gel, slather on a hair mask, leisurely shave my legs and take my own sweet time. The bathroom fills with steam, I play soothing music and sing along. It's luxury. It's my opportunity to relax uninterupted and without schedule. After that glorious shower I treat myself to an assortment of moisturizing products: something special for my feet, something altogether different for my face and another potion for my arms and legs. If only I had the time to do this each morning. Wow, wouldn't that put a different spin on the day.
After my shower I tend to be so relaxed that it's nearly impossible to get me started on the day. However, today I did finally get myself out of relaxation mode and into errand-running gear. After a leisurely lunch out it was time to re-enter the real world with a trip to the grocery and then a workout.
So here we are: me with my uber-moisturized skin and Cynical with a pantry full of food: two happy people.
I didn't get much knitting done this weekend, but last week I did finish a few more wash cloths for my gift baskets and a hat for my dad. You can see them, if you are truly bored and in need of something to do, on the Finished Projects page at right.
Above you can spy the Debbie Bliss Merino DK that I selected for my Odessa hat. Sweet, sweet light blue.

Hey kiddo, Sounds like you had a good week-end, no matter what the weather.
I took a look at the Finished Projects, and they are gorgeous. I loved the dishcloth with the purple in it!
