My understanding is that there is a "mild" threat of extreme weather today. That's enough to put the fear of Mother Nature in me. I am not certain what "mild" means when used in context with "threat", but just in case I am hoping and praying that we once again make it through unscathed.
I will not be happy if Mother Nature interupts my plans to attend my first sock knitting class. Hell knows no fury like a lady that doesn't get to go to her knitting class.
I have noticed several Project Spectrum participants publishing photos of their "orange" reading list, and since I didn't want to be left out, I snapped the photo above. Notice the "Idiot's Guide to Sewing". Yes, I am an idiot and I need a guide. You may see a copy of "The Quality of Life Report" as well. I read that book while on an island 16 miles by boat from the nearest shore in Canada. No electricity. I slept and read the entire time. Too bad I wasn't knitting then, who knows what I would have created.
Also in keeping with April's color theme, I am including the photo of my Fiestaware salt and pepper shakers sitting in our kitchen window sill. If you look carefully, you can determine a very contorted reflection of me in the glare.
