Last night was a big evening at Chez Ragged. Cynical had taken the evening off. We ventured out for a long, relaxing dinner and there were two big season finales on television. Cynical was glued to one television in anticipation of the crowning of the newest American Idol. I was intently watching another to see what clues the season finale of "Lost" offered up. Isn't that romantic?
As I was viewing "Lost"*, hand over my mouth and knitting in my lap, Cynical came up the stairs singing.
Cynical: (Singing) It's the end of the world as we know. . . It's the end of the world as we know it. . .
Ragged: What? Did Taylor not win?
Cynical: We don't know yet. But Prince just performed on American Idol.
Tsunamis. Hurricanes. President Bush. Volcanic eruptions. Rampant tornadoes. Prince on American Idol. It is the end of the world as we know it and I don't feel fine.
*Sorry to those that found the season finale interupted by a power outage. I promise not to spoil anything.
