Losing my religion

uGHIMG_1927

I have a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach. It's that feeling you get when you know that big changes are about to happen. You get it no matter whether the change is good or bad. It's just big change and it scares you.

As mentioned in a previous e-mail, Cynical and I have been talking about moving for some time. This timeline however has gotten much tighter as we have new neighbors that are not only sucking the value out of our property, but the value out of our daily lives there. I came to the realization that indeed we probably need move before the end of the year. I just moved a little over a year ago, so I had hoped that I would be planted a bit longer before I hauled my stuff across town again.

I got an e-mail from my beloved today letting me know that a client had made it clear that he was socializing with our neighbors over the weekend and happened to know where we live. I don't care what the guy did. Don't care from whence he came. I don't want him to know where we live. I don't want to knit in the backyard knowing that I am being spied upon by someone that is monitored by Cynical. It makes me uncomfortable and it makes me sick, even sicker than my fear of change.

So, it seems that we will start getting our ducks in a row, start shedding some of our furniture load and preparing for a move. I am throwing myself on the sword and begging my family to help us do a bit of a house preparation blitz. Wish me luck as I swallow my pride and beg for assistance. Wish me safety as I avoid the criminal element next door.

We probably ought to check our astrological charts, because change is definitely in the air. If things develop like we hope, both Chez Ragged and Chez Pilot-Needles could have new addresses very soon. But since our's would be for a happy reason, there isn't the sick feeling.

Here's hoping for the best for both of us.

Even though daunting, moving is fun! Adventurous Ragged and Cynical, escaping "the criminal element" to an unknown land filled with gleaming hard wood and low maintenance (but beautiful) landscaping. Will you be changing towns altogether? I'll peruse realtor.com in hopes of finding your new home.

Ei yi yi! Sounds like a nightmare either way...and moving is the lesser of. Who'da thunk that they'd be worse than the previous ones.

This may not make you feel any better, but I'll be looking forward to the updates on this. Sounds like it'll be interesting!
