I've been looking around for some blue items and scenes to photograph in celebration of Project Spectrum's June theme, but alas, we just don't have much around our place. However, I did spy our newly blooming hydrangea at the side of the house. These big beautiful flowers are part of a Southern gardening tradition around these parts and I was so pleased to find a well-established and productive bed of them at this house. They are gorgeous and I was so very excited to see them being so hardy this year. )Unfortunately, I was bitten by another Southern tradition repeatedly when I shot these photos. Darned mosquitos.)
A jar full of these on the table. Some sweet tea and maybe a bowl of strawberries and summers don't get any better.

Hydrangea's are one of my very favorites. I just love their full, fat heads, vibrant with color.
Ouuuuu! Beautiful!
Mine haven't bloomed yet...I have three, and haven't got a single bloom on any of them. I can't figure it out.
