If you had said a year ago that I'd be packing yarn, needles and sundries to accompany me everywhere I go including work, road trips, the bookstore and most recently summertime outdoor events, I probably would have laughed. I'm a reader and generally if you were to dump out the contents in my purse you'd find amongst receipts for the 79 cent Diet Cokes and multiple tubes of Chap-Stick, there would be a journal, a book and lots of ink pens.
It seems that now in addition to my current read, I feel the need to pack not one knitting projects and all of the associated tools, but often two or three.
As was the case yesterday at the blue's festival.
I have abandoned the top secret blogger exchange sock project in hopes of finding "the perfect yarn", and felt sorry for the lone Candy Corn sock, so I paid her mate some attention, making some headway. In addition, I made a lot of progress on the baby blanket. It's very boring knitting for me, so it's a bit of a chore to work on. However, this heavy project is consuming my bag, so I gotta get that thing wrapped up.
Just a few lap perspectives of the projects I worked on during the one act that we got to hear at the festival before the rain set in.

Sounds like you had a fun day...blues festival and knitting!
I picked up my knitting needles last night and started and finished 1 wee dishcloth/washcloth. You'd be proud of me! I'll have to blog it. ;)
You need to post the super top secret sock exchange on here in microfish with thriple encryption with a mirco dot font. Sound like you guys had a fun and fruitful weekend.
