Rainy days and Fridays

If you listen to our local weather forecasters, we might need to gather lumber and start construction on our own version of an ark. This worries me as we have poor carpentry skills and I cannot imagine anything we build will actually float. You see, apparently we can expect approximately five inches of rain to pour down on us over the next few days.

This not only makes a mess in our basement, but it give me even more reason to avoid the outside world. Ever feel like that? Want to walk through the front door of your home, lock it behind you and hold-up for a few days.

And contrary to popular belief, it's not out of laziness. I have lots of little projects to keep me occupied. I just need some time to diffuse. I need some time without contacts, hairspray, idle conversation, or stress.

For instance, in addition to managing cat hair, washing a big pile of clothes that need to be laundered individually, and making a sweet little hat, I am hoping to concoct a big old sappy Valentine's CD and any thoughts on what to include are certainly welcomed.

Tonight we're going to a play called "'Night Mother". If any of you know anything about it, you know that it probably isn't the most uplifting of topics to address on a rainy January evening, but none-the-less, we are going to brave the subject matter, the weather and my parents and head to the theater.

Then we are going to go home and hide from the rest of the world. Except maybe to make a run to the grocery. Even hermits gotta eat. Right?

PS: I am in need of some html assistance. I'd like to incorporate some sort of a banner into my heading. Keep in mind I am still not "accepted" into the New Blogger clan. Any idea on how to do that? You guys are much smarter and more savvy than I. Help a girl out, why dontcha.

Martina McBride "My Valentine" is a must. Rudy cousin was married 3 years ago this Valentines Day and this was a song they played.

Sorry to hear about the rain, but we are currently getting ice. It makes going anywhere almost impossible.

If you figure out how to do your header will you let me know. I have been wanting to change my header for a while now and I can't figure it out.

what kind of banner?

If you're planning on changing, you might want to wait until you do. It can drop some things in the switch & I'd hate for you to do all that work and then loose it.

BTW, when you finish your ark, you can probably sail it up to our house!

A few days of rain probably won't require ark construction. I'd break out those waders tho'.

I have a few suggestions for your valentine cd, but considering the romantic space I'm in at the moment, they're probably not suitable, heheheh! I've been listening to Papa Roach lately and altho' the cd is called the Paramour Sessions, if you used songs from there, you'd need a parental advisory warning and you probably don't want to go there!!!

I second the banner work till after you decide to switch. I didnt lose anything but you never know.

The hardest part about putting up a banner is finding where to insert it in your template.
That being said, once you find where it goes, then it's easy to change whenever you want!
I put a few tips on Nudge-Nudge but I'm not certain they're understandable. I'm far from technical so trying to explain something that is can lead to quite a bit of confusion. email me if you need more help decifering my wordage.
