I don't know why this has made me so giddy, but last night I went to a play that is part of an International Mystery Writers' Theater Festival being hosted here. I don't think I realized what a big deal it was that my little city was sponsoring this, but it all came to light when I realized that the villian in the play I was watching was none other than Gary Sandy. Surely you remember him from "WKRP in Cincinnati". Oh how I love my 70s and 80s sitcom celebrities. (Apparently Harry Anderson is appearing as well. Remember the judge from "Night Court"?)
All I need now is for it to rain turkeys and my day will be complete.
One play down, three to go.
(The festival hosts first-time run plays written by writers all over the country. The plays are judged by a panel including Angela Lansbury as well as an audience critique.)
