What's going on here?

You must think me insane, posting old photos with little explanation. I apologize, I should have warned you. You see, I have noticed several bloggers participating in the 30-day challenge. That's where you shoot photographs each day and post one that indicates your life in that 24-hour period. There are some truly, truly beautiful photographs being posted as a result of the challenge and I am fascinated by the creativity.

Problem is: I am rarely home when there is enough good light (the light in which I prefer to shoot), and I feared I would never keep up.

Solution is: I thought that instead I'd just root through some of my old shots and post a few, my attempt at remembering a wonderful year gone by and cheerfully anticipating the days ahead. Corny, true. Fulfilling for me, yes.

So, I ask your patience during the coming days. . . as I am being patient as well. . . seems I am ordering myself a new camera.

In other news, what's really going on here:
Our Friday night included some errand running and dinner out, despite the incredible cold. On Saturday Cynical, after a rough night, slept very late, so I found myself knitting, complaining about broken cables and needles and preparing for a quick trip to a yarn shoppe for more cardigan supplies. What a wonderful drive it was, what a wonderful visit I had. That evening we ventured to our friends' house for dinner and some tax work. Seems a juicy refund is in the works.

As for today, Cynical is still snoozing, our little white cat is sleeping at my feet. I spent the morning downloading podcasts, reading some blogs and enjoying the purring of our furnace. I am contemplating going back to bed, but this light is far too beautiful to sleep in. I might get my camera.

You know, you are my inspiration on actually starting my photo a day. I've been chewing the idea also, but your starting up kicked me in the pants to do it too. Call me a copy-cat, but i know inspiration where I see it. Lets see if I can make it thru the week.

Sounds like a good idea.

What kind of camera are you getting?
