Go ahead. . . make my day

I'd like to thank the academy and my fellow bloggers. Without you, this blog and all of its boring content wouldn't be possible. . . .

Both Emily and Farmwife were so very gracious and kind to award me the You Make My Day Award. Blush, blush. . . they are far too gracious. And even though as you will learn in a minute, the rules will not allow me to list them, I am going to anyway.

Emily was probably the first blogger I kept up with regularly. I think she and I started blogging around the same time and really "hit it off" in the internet universe. She's a blessing, a true friend.

Farm Wife and I became acquainted via another blogger and I immediately found her charming, witty and altogether funny. I love checking in on her comings and goings; and am proud to call her a friend.

Now onto the rules:
The rules for the “You Make My Day” award are to re-present it to 10 people whose blogs bring you happiness and inspiration and make you feel happy about blog land. Let them know through email or by posting a comment on their blog so they can pass it on. You can't choose the person who chose you.

So, here goes, in completely random order.

1. Madretz: Truly a picture of grace, wit and creativity. I love her attitude. I love her take on the world and I am always thrilled when I learn she's posted. Her creativity will stun and inspire you.

2. Phinner: Phin is my blogging buddy and I not only enjoy her creative take, but her karmic view. Each time I read her blog, I find out something new about her, it's like peeling away the skins on an onion. . . she has so many beautiful layers.

3. Nana-Nana-Bo-Banna: Don't believe in family, love and generosity? Then visit Nana-Nana-Bo-Banna. She is the epitome of generosity, caring and unconditional love for her those she cares about. I would love to be adopted by her.

4. Needlefingers: This goes without saying; I love keeping up with her knitting, her adventures and love her banter. You'll find her wit worth giggling over.

5. Ramblings of a Simple Man: Such wonderful humor, with a bit of sarcasm. He's not rambling at all (as his title might suggest), but entertaining and has some great insight.

6. Brando: I can never read enough stuff about her kids. They crack me up. They seriously do. And who doesn't love someone so in touch with her 80s self? I'm not listing her cohort, Rudy, because I think he's seriously slacking on the blogging and I'm not taking any excuses. (Only kidding, Rudy, just missing you in the blogging universe.)

7. Kissed Knitter: What a wonderful way to gain even more insight into a close friend. I have known Kissed Knitter for a very long time and feel I have gotten to know even more about her through her blog.

8. Soulemama: In this blog I find solace, peace and inspiration. I cannot put into words how beautiful the photographs are, how honest the writing is. You must visit this blog.

9. Shutter Sisters: I just recently came across this photoblog. If you follow the link, make sure you read the impetus behind the project. Beautiful photographs and details.

10. Art's Party: I've gotten to know Art via her blog and have enjoyed our e-mail exchanges. I find her writing honest. . . and honesty is something that's hard to find. I admire her for that.

What a blessing and a release blogging has become for me. I thank you all for being my inspiration, my strength and my friends.

Thank you for the award. I'm glad somebody gets something out of the mess that comes out of my head!

Oh, My! It is YOU who have made my day.

I'm going to cut this out and put it somewhere I'll see it often...the fridge? the mirror? the computer monitor? I'll figure it out, And when I need a lift, I won't have to do any more than look at what my sweet little friend wrote! Thank you so much!
