It's just a jumbled mess of a life

I thought I'd take a minute and post something to this here blog that didn't involve cats or knitting or ice. But then, what would I write about?

Oh, there's the nice lunch we had with Brando and Rudy recently. So glad they stopped through town; so happy we got to meet up; so wishing we had more time.

And there's the new computer which we are loving. . . and it's very fancy. I think I like Windows Vista, it makes nice noises and things appear from nowhere. Plus it puts my weather report in a nice little snow globe. How pleasant.

There was the big yarn sale last night at my LYS where I got yarn for the Tree Jacket. It's not really a jacket now, is it? I chose a great color (see Denim) of Mission Falls Wool. . . oh, wait, that's knitting related, isn't it?

I'm taking Cooper, our orange cat, to the vet this afternoon. He's the one that weighs nearly 18 pounds and is having some sort of flaky skin allergic reaction thing going on. Oh, that's cats and no one wants to hear about flaky skin conditions.

Our basement is still wet, wet, wet. Our plumbing is still throwing fits. I am, therefore, pouting, stomping my feet and threatening to picket the local waste water agency.

And I have a new found love for the library. They have this automatic check-out system where you simply drop your library card into a reader, stack your books on the magic pad and it automatically lists them and checks them out for you. It's so verra, verra cool. It rocks in fact. How does it know which books I have?

We're planning a vacation with Pilot and Needlefingers. At this point all I know is Missouri and sites to be had. Hoping for a stop at one of Laura Ingalls Wilder's homes. . . and maybe some good food. In between now and then, hoping to go to a fiber fair in Indiana in mid-April. Gotta love fairs and fiber.

And for now I have lists, lots of lists. Lists of things to do. Lists of places to go. Lists of people to call. Lists of things to mail. Lists upon lists upon lists. A jumbled mess of lists.
