Here come the sun, here comes the sun

And I say, it's all right. *

What a beautiful beginning to spring. . . the sun is shining, the water is receding and it looks like we may have a marvelous weekend.

In other news, watched "I Am Legend"; and I was disappointed. I'm sorry, Will, it wasn't you, but darnit, it just ended, out of nowhere it just wrapped up way too nicely. . . and the dog. . . why do the dogs always have to die. It's just not fair.

*Thanks, George Harrison, is there a more perfect song for a week filled with rain ending in sunshine?

Thank you, after being the lone voice of disappointment around here concerning that movie it is nice to here someone agree.

Same here. You probably know the moment I went, "Oh for pete's sake!" In my opinion, that's where the movie derailed for me.

And yes, they shouldn't kill the dog. But they always do. :(

Who set up the trap? The "infected" were betrayed as mindless, wild animals. How could they be that clever and who else was there?

Cynical,

I think that the movie might have been a social commentary. Let's take a look at groups that have been historically thought of as 'mindless, wild animals', which then gave the people in power an excuse to mistreat them: Native Americans, African Americans, Jewish people, animals etc. If they are thought of as beneath us, it's much easier to keep them down. I think the *infected* were much more aware than anyone gave them credit.

Sorry to hi-jack your blog, Ragged. Clearly, this master's degree is making me think too much. Must stop, must stop!!!! :)

Wow. I didn't put as much thought into the movie and the person commenting above me. Hmmm...now I fell the need to say something smart. Okay. The need passed. We watched this yesterday. I was disappointed, I was expecting something legendary. 2 of my 3 teenage boys though it was "stupid".
