Knitting, days off and houses for sale

Seems I haven't had much time for the ole blog lately; and perhaps that is a prelude of times to come. Warmer weather tends to mean more time out of the house and away from the computer.

It's been a busy few days. I've been spending my time welcoming Spring in full force. On Friday a dear friend and I used our time off wisely, doing a little shopping, a little exploring of a quaint small downtown and enjoying a road trip. I also squeezed in a stop by Yarn Along and got drawn into their mystery dishcloth pattern. More on that another time. I so enjoyed spending the day with my buddy; what a joy to have some quality time to share, visit and catch up. She's been my house hunting pal and I couldn't ask for a bigger supporter. . . she's helped us load items for storage, hunt down open houses and has even explored a few potential homes with us.

As soon as we got home, we packed our bags and headed to visit Cynical's folks for the night. We headed out this morning and have been tackling chores since.

It's official, the house is on the market. . . we put a sign in the yard on Thursday and I've been busy getting the marketing underway by shooting photographs of the house, prepping a website and designing a handout. We've also been finishing up some last-minute staging (too many Sell This House episodes, say goodbye to personal photographs) and quick fixes. Cross your fingers, sacrifice an offering or say a prayer. . . that it sells soon and for big money.

In the meantime I've done a bit of knitting, see the sock above. I'm also working on a sweater from Fitted Knits. And of course, there's that mystery dish cloth knit-along. There is something very fulfillling about making something so utilitarian with a little design thrown in. It's also fun to get the pattern in little bits. . . a sweet little mystery.

Oh, and those are new glasses you see up there. . . took me three visits to the eye wear shoppe. . . but I kinda dig them.

Good luck with the house! I'm sure it's exciting and nail biting at the same time. Does this mean you guys have one to purchase in the works?
Happy spring, happy easter too!

How exciting for you! And nerve racking! I agree with you on the dishcloth thing. It just feels good to wash my dishes with them.
