Cynical and I have big stuff cookin' these days. And it's exciting. Looking for a new house. Planning to sell our current one. Scheduling a vacation and a few get-aways. Considering some big, exciting, overwhelming changes.
And for some reason, my family can't get on board the Chez Ragged train to a better life. We blew the whistle, we stoked the engine, we even made a stop nearby, but they still won't join us. It seems that any time we (or anyone else in the clan) have something awesome going on, they stir up some controversy, sprinkle in some drama and top it off with a good dose of negativity. (Please excuse the mixed, double metaphors.)
What makes people thrive on drama? What propels them to rain on the parade?
I'm not sure there is an answer; but meanwhile, full steam ahead.

Wow, this sounds oddly familiar, kind of like.....my life. Hey, at least they're not boring.
Ooooh, ooooh oooh *Jealousy*.
(that was me singing what makes people behave that way-yup, i'm cool)
Just don't let 'em get that train off the tracks.
Have fun choo-choo-choosin' a new home!
I'll board with ya! Looks like there's lots o' room for the positive.
I think people like that are that way because attention is taken away from them. They cant inject themselves into that conversation so they say unfavorable things to change the subject back to themselves and their issues.
heehee, love what nan wrote, she's so clever! We'll jump on your train even if the fam won't. I can't wait to hear about the progress.
"What makes people thrive on drama?"
I have wondered this for years!
I particularly wonder about people who have High Drama lives when they actually have Low Drama lives...if you see what I mean.
